Good service, free cover before 6pm if you text and meh girls....
This was actually supposed to be the first review in the Calgary SCs owned by the same corporation and/or person, but I got stuck perfecting my Cathouse review despite Cathouse being the worst SC I've been to in a LONG time, which is still riddled with grammar/spelling/fuckboy-playboy energy — sorry, minnow, go ahead and thumbs down. ;)
Alright, so if you've read my previous reviews, you already know I don’t exactly follow a typical "reviewer" playbook.
Yeah, I like to keep it messy, raw, and unfiltered but I think I still follow the tuscl founder's guidelines.
Boudoir West is interesting, it has two versions to it (one upstairs and one downstiars, still haven't gotten a chance to see the gogo dancers).
Also, to be quite frank... these clubs so far all have just done their part to "dress up" on Instagram but can’t actually execute in real life.
Just browse through the SC's Instgram stories as those will quickly show you how the selection of girls are... really, reall, really horrifically terrible and no amount of flashy marketing will save it.
1. Reservation Process
I’ll give them this: the reservation process was surprisingly professional as hell (Vegas, take some notes please lol Vegas bookings are hilariously chaotic), quick and smooth. You can send a text message to the SC (go on their website) for free cover before 6 PM, and you’ll get a response almost instantly.
2. First Impressions about the Experience and Upper-Level Layout
Really... underwhelming. The upper-level space is cramped and feels thrown together. The stage is tiny—if you’ve ever been ONE of the Portland’s Devils, you know what I mean. But subpar, okay service. Portland had better service haha. And the upper-level space has an unused, paid random pool table at the back, but the layout, holy damn, it just feels awkward. If you’re claustrophobic, good luck. It’s not designed for comfort; it’s a logistical mess masquerading as “intimate.” Might as well have just dimmed the lights further which could obscure how unattractive the girls were and just pretend it's a speakeasy.
The atmosphere? Just dead, I'll go into further details below. Dancers looked bored out of their minds, no joke, all were texting OR like they were one drink away from leaving early.
3. Dancers & Fantasy Gone Wrong
I went twice—once on a Sunday and again on Friday night, because I had to give this redhead a second chance and see what I was missing downstairs (the lower-level floor was beautiful). The redhead was super fun the first night and had nipples piercings all intact, but by my second visit? Total mess. Whole fantasy gone. If you’re looking for a “dream girl” experience, this is NOT it. I’m talking the majority of the girls being 1/10 dancers on overall effort and performance.... It’s the kind of place where you’ll need serious beer goggles to justify spending money LOL. Probably why I even gave the redhead a chance on the first night (downed some tequila shots and probably just said screw it).
Again, noticed this all across Alberta's SC establishments but there are SO many regulars with their go-to dancers (probably why the dancers just chill and keep to themselves as they always perk up when they see their favourite guy coming in near the end of the night and everyone hogs the private rooms).
First-timers like me, wandering around trying to make sense of things (yes, with minimum $500.00 in twenties and fives ready to go but it was a dopamine killer). I don't say that often either.
Girls were mainly white girls, big ones, some with glasses, most of the white girls had some fake tits that night, couple redheads, just meh. Just MEH. 5/10 at best for the girls. Also no variety but I guess yeah, this is Alberta.
4. Service & Tipping
Service was efficient. Bartenders and staff were professional, but the club atmosphere doesn’t match their effort. Nobody expects tips in Alberta SCs. I tip $5 to $20 typically regardless, especially if the bartenders are banging but nope. The staff were cool overall, though.
5. Private Dances' Cost Breakdown
$35 per dance**—standard pricing.
$105 for 3 dances, **$140 for 4, and $175 for 5.
You don’t pay the dancer directly - remember that uou hand your cash to the bartender or DJ.
6. Drinks & Cover
Double whiskey on the rocks? $15. Cover charge? FREE for me, but I think it’s $10 regularly. Not terrible. If you’re counting every dollar you spend at the door, maybe rethink strip clubs.
Alberta Laws state that drinks must stop after 2 AM, and by then the crowd thins out fast. Most regulars treat the place like their "personal hangout" which is interesting haha, sticking with their usual dancers while any newbies like me from outta-province just watch the odd dynamics unfold.
The bar was never packed, it’s mostly regulars lounging around or chatting with their favourite dancers while a few stragglers hang on for one last drink. VIP seating? Unless you’re with friends, skip it. Expect to drop $200 to $300 for something that barely feels worth it. And NO STAGE DANCES. WTF. I stuck around and saw one bigger chick go on... no thanks and then another semi pretty one but caught the last leg of her show (she was bubbly, half indigenous, quarter Dutch and quarter East Asian I think). Very sweet but still not my type. Natural body though.
7. Final Thoughts
After two visits, I’ve had enough. The dancers are too inconsistent, the space is too awkward, and the overall experience? Forgettable. There are way better places out there. I’m all for chaotic experiences, but this isn’t the kind of chaos I recommend.
Take the Instagram hype with a grain of salt—it’s a mess in real life. Back in business, yes, but not here.
