Back in Business

One of my favorite spots in the city was down for the count for months...remodeling kept this joint shuttered for the entire summer and much of the fall. But the adventurous can rejoice that Set it Off is back in business. Lovely women of color continue to dance on stages, crawl across the bar top, and give lap dances to patrons sitting at the bar. The remodel is fine, things look nice inside and far more professional than before.

The main issue the location is in the Badlands of Philly, a notorious crime ridden area. You can do okay going here as long as you manage to find parking right outside, but I definitely wouldn't feel comfortable walking more than a quarter of a block to the armored door of the big pink house on the corner. Once inside you're fine - security is great - and the big guys will watch you as you make your way back to your car. But man, it can be an investment in courage heading out to this joint. I just wish I could airlift it and drop it down somewhere else in the city.
