Dancing Bare. You walk into an adult bookstore, and the entrance to the strip club is at the back left. The manager is watching the store, and will take a $10 cover charge before you walk back. When I walked in the guy looked at me and said “we have 1 girl”. And I looked at him and said when “you have 1 girl?” I don't know if that meant I wasn’t supposed to go in or what, but I said something like, “Well, do you have a cover charge?” It said 10 dollars, so I gave 10 dollars. He looked surprised that I didn’t turn around and walk back out, but that would be a pretty boring review now wouldn’t it?

I walked in and it's really dark. The nasty smells remind me of the old Cheaters in Providence. You mongers in Rhode Island know exactly what I mean, like the old school get whatever you want anytime you want Cheaters not whatever happened after Rhode Island tried to fucking clean it all up and close the legal loophole. I'm not sure how exactly Seattle got such a bad reputation for clubs, but I'm going to say that the clubs in Seattle are not anywhere as bad as people have been saying. When I was in Portland several dancers there were from Seattle and talking shit about the scene there. They would have been the ones picking scabs off their knees in the glory days, so I’m going to chalk it up to noise and not making enough money. The clubs were light on customers other than Pandora’s and the downtown clubs, so wouldn’t be surprised if the dollars were not keeping the top shelf dancers around.

Dancing Bare has a pic on the exterior which doesn't look very inviting. The parking the day I was there actually wasn't that bad because there are parallel parking spaces out in front of the club. If that club is ever busy the parking might be a problem, but I didn't get the impression that the club is it really ever going to be busy. It's a pretty terrible club. It’s the kind of club where the sidewalk sign is stuck off in a corner of the main floor and visible to customers. So I'm guessing you go to DB for a specific reason, as one of the reviews already told that's what it is. I'm going to be honest, the girl who was up on the stage during my walk caught my attention. The light was directly behind the girl so she was in silhouette, and I was thinking well she's actually not as bad as I expected. The club wasn't pretty rough shape but also not quite as bad as I expected. That said, the checkerboard painted on top of a box that's now used as a table was pretty rough, and the stage being extended by bunch of smaller tables pushed together was also a bit much.
