Incremental Improvement

Last evening I found myself finishing a business reception at a location near Mardi Gras. It was a Thursday evening and beautiful outside. I got there around 6:50 and the parking lot didn't look like there were many people in the club. Not sure when cover charge starts but I beat whatever time it began. The pretty door girl wanted to see my ID but it was just a quick peek.

There is only one Follies but I'm not a night shift person for that club. This is where a club like Mardi Gras, Tattletails or Oasis comes in handy. This visit was pretty good as I had reasonable "non-Follies" expectations. I and others have mentioned all the strange mirrors on columns and walls but I've learned to use them to keep an eye on dancers, bouncers and others. This trip I sat near the stairs that goes up to VIP. Though the crowd was light when I arrived by 7:30 there were a decent number of guys and more than 20 dancers on the floor.

As with previous visits I was sitting less than a minute when the first girl came and sat down, asking question after question, "was I having fun", "where was I from" "did I come here often"... she finally took the hint when I took out my phone and said "sorry, I have to answer a couple of emails. I would estimate 6 girls, none of them the better looking ones, came up to see if I wanted company in my first 15 minutes. I guess that was karma for complaining about the girls not circulating in an earlier review. I explained to the rest I was just arriving and needed to settle in for a bit. I don't go here often but I recognized a few of the girls. There were however many cute girls including a number that I would consider "exotics"...mixed girls that you aren't exactly sure of their heritage. I tipped several of the girls on stage and all but one came by to say thank you.
