this place could be great

But, alas, it is not.

First the layout, the club is in the middle of downtown Medford and is just a block or so from the performing arts center, so lots of professional people hitting the center in the area. It is safe, street only parking and lots of it. I came in about 8 PM and parked about 15 steps from the door. Once inside there is a booth to pay a cover, though nobody was there when I came in (there was someone when I left about 9:30) then through a curtain. Place is bigger than I would have thought, though I doubt it is ever full. Huge rectangular stage in the middle of the room with seats around it. Lots of table seating around the outside. Once you come in, the bar is directly to your left and has a full bar. I had a couple of Jack's, about $6.50 each. Big, open, private dance room in the back left with really crappy chairs and couches. Bathrooms are fine, floor is a little wonky. Looks really 1970s, but it is clean and kind of cool in a retro way.

Here is the thing, this is stage place and after talking to a couple of girls, it is clear that laps are just not a big deal to the girls. They pay a $35 a day fee to the club, then DJ tips, everything else they keep. Since most everyone (even the dancers) are sitting around the edge tossing 1s, a two dance set (which is nude) the girl makes $30-$50. If they do 10 rotations a shift, they could be pulling 5-600 bucks and only paying the club $35....no need to lap dance.
