sinclair's Review
I was most recently at Daisy Dooks on a Saturday two weekends ago. I arrived around 00:30, which was technically Sunday, and stayed until almost closing time at 04:00. On the first time I stopped by, I was actually refused entry because I was wearing a muscle shirt. There is a dress code that doesn’t allow athletic shorts, muscle shirts, colors, etc. The cover charge is $15 on Friday and Saturday nights, and $12 on Sunday through Thursday nights. If you show your CDL, cover is free. Like all of the clubs in Davenport, Daisy Dooks is BYOB, but only beer in cans is allowed. Liquor and bottled beer are prohibited. You can bring in your own coolers, but they are searched through at the door. There are bottles of soda available in vending machines for $2.
The club is two levels and approximately 5,500 square feet. The level you enter in is at ground level. There is one stage with a pole on the ground level and standing room with a viewing area looking over the lower level of the club. Down in the lower level is a T-shaped stage with four different pole positions. Two of those four poles go all the way up to the ceiling, about 30-35 feet. Back in the northeast corner of the club is an area with a couch for shower shows. The dressing room is on the second floor of the club. A smoking room is situated on beyond the west wall of the main floor. There is no food served, but a guy sets up a grill and sells hamburgers and hot dogs just outside the front door on weekends.
I’ve been to all three strip clubs in the area, and Daisy Dooks has on average the best looking dancers across the board. Dancers would entertain at one of the main stage’s pole positions for one song, then rotate to two other positions for the next two songs. There were three dancers on stage at any given time. Dancers made good money during those three songs. I’d estimate the better looking dancers would walk away with $150-$200 in singles each time they went on stage. Even the less sexy talent seemed to make $50-$100 for three songs of dancing. A bouncer would put all of the singles in a thin wastebasket liner for a dancer before she walked off to the dressing room. Dancers seemed to not work the floor much soliciting lap dances and stayed in the dressing room for long periods. They were probably going through their garbage bags, unfolding and stacking the Washingtons. Private dances take place in a side room off the floor level not too far from the entrance. Topless dances are $25 each. Nude dances are $40 each. Daisy Dooks is a nude venue, and all of the dancers obliged by getting buck naked on stage. Not a single one kept the thong on. There were sixteen dancers working on Saturday night:
