Not Flashy, But Lots of Value

Foxy Lady is not a fancy joint. It skips a large number of frills: the building itself looks more like some kind of failed Six-Flags amusement park ride, the stage is in desperate need of a makeover and some of the seats feel like they've been passed around every bowling alley in New England before showing up here. But, if you can look past all the superficial stuff and if you're just looking to entertain a buddy or killing time, you'll definitely get your money's worth here. The drinks are cheap (5), parking is free and there are tons of specials to take advantage of (no cover before 6pm, food buffets, etc).

There's some good variety in the talent and the music they dance to. Black women, girls with tattoos, girls with dreads. I didn't notice any Asian or Latina women, but that could be because it was a slow weekday. YMMV. You'll get a good mix of hip hop, country, even some metal and hardcore stuff here and there. Dancers are very responsive to tipping and while one dancer told me taking their bottoms off on the main floor is frowned upon, many are open to the idea if you're providing a steady stream of cash. Once they finish and get dressed, dancers are very friendly and like to join customers for drinks or chatting. All of them seemed genuinely interested in having conversations, another perk of going during the day. They may be after private dances with you, but they won't just ask and then bail if you're not ready to go. If the girl you're talking with has to perform her set, another one will quickly see you alone and join you. One girl and I had a half-hour conversation about the talent before we went for a private dance.

In order to get nude dances, you have to buy two private dances together ($50), but they are generous. Tons of contact, and touching is highly encouraged, so they definitely make up for the inconvenience of having to buy a two-pak. The seats are a little shallow and not very private, but if you go on a slow day, you'll probably only be the only one using them.
