Cool place, less cool clientele

I spent some time in Portland and ended up at a series of clubs while I was in town. I stopped into Lucky Devil on Easter, a little before the evening shift change. A bunch of Portland clubs are like this in some form - basically a little dive bar that happens to have girls dancing. Some video poker in a corner where you can't see anything, a couple poker tables, and a little rail off to one end with a girl dancing. There were 4 girls there in rotation before the shift change, and maybe 5 afterward - each one does 2 songs, loses the top in the first and the bottom in the second, and chooses their own music.

While I was there, they had essentially one ridiculously hot dancer (Gabriela), and a couple of pale girls with nice bodies and small natural chests who were actually 'dancers' I think (they wore ballet slipper-type shoes instead of stripper heels). When I was looking away, a girl with a shaved head and sneakers snuck up on me and growled "would you fuck me? I'd fuck me" before giggling and hitting play on Goodbye Horses to do a little Silence of the Lambs-themed dancing. Like other Portland clubs, there's basically no pressure whatsoever to buy a dance - if you sit at the rail, you're expected to toss a buck or two up per song, and you get a minute of personal attention as a result each time.

Gabriela was actually the first girl in Portland to even suggest a private dance at all (at I think my 4th club...) and she was hot as hell, so I went for it - $20 a song for her. Dance took place in a tiny little curtained booth off to the side. No hands, but a comfy couch and a fair amount of contact. As a bonus, songs are usually full length.
