Three Girls, A Beer, and Some Lapdances

I keep forgetting to review this place. Probably because I keep forgetting I was ever there. If you're driving down the highway (think it's I-95) out in the sticks of North Carolina, you might see a billboard for a place called Gentlemens Playground in a town called Rocky Mount. This review is for that club. On the billboard you'll see something that looks like a model with blonde hair. I've only been to the club once, but I'd be surprised if you found a naturally blonde dancer here these days. After seeing the billboard I headed over the Rocky Mount and drove through some industrial looking areas to where this club is located. Sometimes you'll find a pretty decent club on the other end of a billboard. This time not so much.

It's kind of on a dark corner, but on the outside of the corner instead of the street wrapping around it. There's a big sign there so you can't really miss it. Parking lot is small. I parked in front of the building where the entrance is, but had the car facing out to the road. From the outside it looks like a converted restaurant. Small club. Not shabby, but not great. It was a Sunday night in a part of town that was basically deserted, so I did think over whether or not I wanted to walk inside. There's another club I've been to in North Carolina over by Fayetteville that was literally a truck stop, so I figured what the hell and went in.

Not sure if there's a cover. Nobody was working the door so I walked right in. Think an older lady (the house mom?) was walking toward me after I stepped inside to say something but got waived off. There is a smallish bar off to the left of the entry, and standard looking little tables and strip club chairs (you know what I'm talking about) scattered off to the right toward a decent sized stage in the back right. There was music playing and no dancing. Three dancers were over at the end of the bar chatting with a guy. Figured out later that guy was the manager. Another guy walking around was security. The bartender was a latina gal (I think), but the three dancers who suited up were black. None of them lookers, but none of them ugly. Seemed very bored. One of them smiled and said something, so she got dances. 2 for $40 in a small curtained off area that was lit with blacklight when it was time for dances. You pay upfront for the starter dances, but can extend them without needing to take a break. The dances were pretty good. I got a really good grind and was encouraged to hold on and things got a little grabby. YMWV. Found out later that this is supposed to be a low mileage club where clothes stay on.
