Start the countdown
Stopped in to see what was taking place on a Wednesday (humpday) evening. I called ahead and asked about a few dancers in particular, and the woman on the other end of the phone said the dancers I was looking for were indeed working.
I arrived about 20 minutes later and to my dismay the club not only did not have the dancers I was looking for, but they only had three girls working and only one of them was somewhat attractive. I asked the older woman behind the bar and she made some comment about not being allowed to truthfully say who was working and who was not working.
Not a fan of being lied to, I decided to cut my losses and left before they charged my the ten dollars for my drinks (free cover price).
I have read other places that mentioned that the Sands was part of a demo plan and neighborhood revitalization project. If that is indeed true, it definitely showed in the dancer quality and service level that this small time club has become.
Start the countdown clock for the demise of the Sands. Sad to see how far it has fallen.
