I went to Rick’s on a Saturday night around 12:30am. This is one of two clubs on Bourbon Street that I have never been in, so I decided to give it a try. There was a $10 cover charge. I am not even sure how much a bottle of beer was; I ordered the same exact beer from two different waitresses and was charged $8.50 by one and $9.00 by the other for the same exact thing. The club has a large main stage and a smaller satellite stage toward the front. Both have poles. There is also a third tabletop stage on the back wall in a VIP area. Dancers would rotate between the three stages during peak hours. As the night died down, only the main stage would be used. The club has too many male staff members walking around, which just kind of takes away from the fun.

Rick’s tries to have the most beautiful dancers in New Orleans, but if this was the best they could muster on a Saturday night, they are getting smoked by Penthouse and are even trailing the Hustler clubs in the pecking order. Sure there were a couple 8’s (like fake-chested Divina), but the other two dozen or so dancers did nothing for me. I saw at least three dancers that had to have been about 40 or older and a bunch more past 30. Two Russian dancers were in the 3-4 range. Most dancers were white, but the median age had to have been around 30, and some were too curvy for me. By far, the worst thing about the entertainers was that they had bad attitudes. They would pitch private dances and the VIP rooms after about twenty seconds of conversation or try to get you buy them with themselves and their friends. If you balked, they would treat you like a leper.

The prices are pretty astronomical, even when considering there are no extras to be had:
