Holy expensive drinks!!?

Been meaning to stop in here since they remodeled, or rather gutted what was Joanna's many years ago. Joanna's was on the dove side of things. The only thing that remains of it is the outside wall. In terms of atmosphere, this club is awesome. Clean, looks good, good set up. It has multiple levels, but I was only on the lowest level, which is quite small, and I intimate. A low bar flanked by two small circular stages with a pole, and tables around the walls. Dancers were nice, 8and above. Regular DC no contact rules, which sucks. No cover charge, but holy sheep dip, you need a mortgage to cover the price of drinks. DC clubs tend to jack up the price of drinks, but this is obscene. Cost me over $20 for a vodka on the rocks. I think they add a tip automatically, because when I ran a tab there was a line for included gratuity. The place was near empty the two times I was there, and they don't cater to the DC lawyer lunch crowd, only opening at 4. I like the place, but no way can I justify paying for a whole bottle of vodka with one drink. Too bad, because otherwise it has a lot to offer.
