Visited: Thursday Afternoon

I was able to visit Follies two afternoons in a row, Thursday and Friday of last week. Both days I arrived before 12:30, and in neither case was the valet set up yet. On the way out one day I did see that they had a few cars perpendicular to some spaces, so even if you did not valet you might need to wait for one of them to move a car to get you clearance to get out. During the day, the shopping center across the street is busy and I felt totally safe leaving my car there. There's a light to cross Buford Hwy, and if you know that you'll be gone by 6 there should be no reason to be concerned about parking there.

Ambiance:

The door girl was cute but totally disinterested, one time being totally obsessed with her phone. Since I got at most one or two random pats to the body, I just ignored her request for a tip and went inside. Many people have mentioned the darkness inside, but I only really noticed it on the first day, since I hadn't seen the layout before, it took me a bit longer to get adjusted. The place is predominantly lit by blacklight and random neon beer signage, so if you're wearing anything white, it will really fluoresce. On the second day since I was familiar with the layout I only took about 15-30 seconds to adjust and then was able to be on my way. If you arrive later, you may want to take more time as the place really did start filling up around 3-4ish.

I'm not sure what DJ I wound up with, but I can't agree with earlier reviews about him being unobtrusive – he tended to launch into 30 second really fast monologues as he was calling girls up on the stages, and I couldn't understand a word. Not the worst I've seen, but not quite what I was hoping for...
