Admiral Theatre
A visitors perspective for what would (probably) be one of the better clubs in the area. Group of friends and I decided to pay a late-night visit on a Saturday. $25 cover for entry. They made us wait behind a velvet rope after we paid for some bizarre, unknown reason, but the staff we're friendly and professional. Despite the fairly large but expected crowd for a Saturday, the Admiral has a very open setting, with chairs and tables all around so it never felt claustrophobic. One main center stage where a girl will perform for your standard 2-3 songs, and then rotate to two other small stages on opposite sides. Waitress came by promptly and took our drink order. Now, I can't fault the club directly, as I was aware going in that Chicago's laws are just garbage when it comes to nudity and alcohol, but paying $7.50 for a ginger ale is a little exorbitant. Dancing on the stage was solid, music was a great rotation and not just the same song every dance (bonus points for playing Tool). Girls regularly approach you and start some small talk, but it's down to business shortly after, and they aren't going to waste time if they can make money elsewhere. Masseuses come by pretty regularly and offer massages: price IIRC was $10/song. Price for a 'standard' private dance that night was 3 songs for $75, not terrible considering the overall quality of the club and dancers. I got one from Gypsy that night, and I thought it was money well spent: not the best I've ever had, but definitely not the worst.
Hard to say right now if I were to go back. Biggest pro is that the girls are all quality, average 7.5-8.5. Best was a 9+. It just felt very cut-and-paste. It didn't grab me from leaving or beg me to stay. I was comfortable leaving when I did, which was a first.
