I arrived at 19:00 on a Saturday night. There was no cover charge to enter. A goth bartender was slinging drinks behind a curved bar on the north wall. Sincweisers were $5, served in a twelve ounce can. Cans of soda were $4. The entertainers sat at the bar and did not take the stage until a half dozen patrons had arrived. The clientele was a mix of locals and Midwesterners vacationing up North. The only food offerings available were snacks like bags of nuts, bags of chips, and sticks of Jack Links for $1.75 and candy bars for $1.50. Music is played off of an AMI jukebox. Dancers do three song sets on a stage with a single pole. A runway protrudes from the right side that is one step lower than the stage.
Dancers must commit to working a Wednesday through Saturday schedule if they want to work at the Gold Nugget, so you will generally see the same half dozen dancers every night of a given week with the possibility of an extra dancer added on for the weekend. I believe dancers live on the premises during their four day tours of duty. Dancers tend to be older at the Gold Nugget. About two-thirds of Saturday’s queue were in their 40’s or late 30’s. Contact at the stage was one-way and consisted mostly of Stevies. Like many clubs in Wisconsin, Gold Nugget had the dreaded tip walk once a dancer finished up on stage. A George Washington is usually sufficient to keep them walking along.

Frankie: White, dirty blonde, A cups, looks over 45, low quality tattoos everywhere, 1.
Indica: White, curly black hair, slim, A cups, left forearm tattoo, left front thigh tattoo, small tattoo on right ass cheek, had kid, 6.5.
Lucy Skye: White, blonde hair, brown eyes, C cups, tattoos on the front of both thighs, 7.5.
Private dances are $20 for one song, $40 for two songs, and $60 for three songs plus a free drink. A half hour in the VIP room is $175. Two free drinks are included for the customer with the purchase of the VIP room. Contact is mostly one way from what I experienced, but it would not surprise me if some dancers skirted the rules a bit more than the dancer I chose to get dances with.
There are no other strip clubs within an hour’s drive in any direction, so if you are in Spread Eagle or Iron Mountain, the Gold Nugget is really the only option. The club is okay for a few drinks and tossing a few bucks at the stage show. Gold Nugget is open from 18:00 to 02:00 on Wednesdays and Thursdays and 18:00 to 02:30 on Fridays and Saturdays.
