Stripperoake

Came to Portland for a short vacation and decided to check out Devil's Point for its famous "Stripperoke" Sunday antics. The venue itself is a bit small and run down, and the bathrooms are disgusting. The entrance leads to a full bar with watered down drinks, hot bartenders, and slot machines. Farther into the bar is a single stage with plenty of seating both at the stage and around the room. Beers are cheap, and there was no cover on Sunday.

There were four girls for a packed house on a Sunday evening, and all of them were incredibly talented. Being Portland, many of them sported piercings and tattoos aplenty, which is expected (and sexy). Three of the girls were FANTASTIC on the pole and displayed some Olympic level strength; the other was a wonderful entertainer who really enjoyed performing. The place was way too crowded for me to even consider a dance, so I would certainly try a non Stripperoke night for a more intimate affair.

Be forewarned though, the atmosphere on Sunday nights is less like a strip club and more like a crazy karaoke night with strippers complementing the singers. It's a blast only if you know what to expect.
