It's a Decent Bar...with Tits

This site has seen a few upgrades since I was writing reviews from time to time. According to the note up at the top of the review form, the last time I wrote a review for club Excape was about 8 years ago. Almost to the day. Tell you what, eight years ago this place was one of the best kept secrets in the entire scene in Baltimore. Used to make it a point to stop by here whenever I was in the area. The place had better talent than it deserved on both day and night shifts, the girls set their own lapdance rates, and you could get dances here that would make some of the hardest of the hardcore blush. Now? Not so much.

I decided to drop by a little before midnight because I was in town and wanted to try and catch the end of a playoff game on my way to someplace I wasn't rushing to be. There is no cover day or night, so it's not a bad place just to catch a drink. The prices are less than you'd pay at most clubs, regular bar prices. There was an older guy by the door who was looking people over as they came in, but more of a minder than a bouncer. One thing to keep in mind is that a lot of military hang out around here, so you may not see bouncers but you might still get bounced if you're out of line by the locals and regulars. The placed is about the same, other than it looks like the back half of the club is totally walled off now and there is a big red curtained area to the left of the entry door that used to be tables and chairs that looked into the front lapdance area. Inside the curtain was something that looked like a casino machine, but not sure it was. There are casinos in Maryland now, but I think it's pretty regulated and you're not going to see gambling machines in clubs like in Vegas.

It's probably been a few years since I set foot in the place, so none of the dancers I remember from the place's heyday were around. There might be some on dayshift I'd remember, but was not planning to make a trip back to find out. Same jukebox is there over by the pool tables, and the dancers still pick their own music. No DJ. Pretty laid back. Yes, the girls have regulars and there was definitely a PL or two giving off the stalker vibe if you took a second look at "their" girl, but it's nothing a drink and the promise of dollars couldn't fix. The girls there are working, after all. Simple tip for those who might actually see a girl that they like. If it's a girl that you might want to go back and see some other time, just ask when she's there and when it's slow. Two things will happen, she'll probably tell you unless you're a creeper and she'll make time to catch you on that visit before you leave.
