Cozy club, disinterested dancers
So I hadn't been to Miami in about 4 years until my recent vacation there for a week spilling over through Memorial Day weekend. And Dean's Gold was at or near the top of my list of SCs to visit. Of course there would not be the same girls from 4 years ago, plus I couldn't remember them anyway! The club literally hadn't changed since I had been there before. I like DG because of it's very intimate, cozy atmosphere. You enter the main club, which is to the right of the lobby as you go in. There is the large main stage in the center of the main part of the club with table chairs surrounding it. No one ever seems to sit at the main stage. Then the club area consists of very comfortable seating with table service in both the middle and back of club. At the very back is the main private dance area where you go up a couple of steps to get there. The main bars are on the floor level where drinks are typical prices, about 5 or 6 bucks for a beer, my drink of choice. To the left side facing the main stage is an elevated section where there is a side stage and also seating area and another bar where the drinks are more expensive, as well as a private couch area to the far left, the VIP section. There is also a side stage to the far left, kind of in a corner, but on the ground club level, as well as another private dance area in that location. They also have several big screen TVs scattered throughout the club, one above both the main stage and the VIP stage, and a couple more.
I went on several days, but I'll try to review my weekend visit mostly. The general atmosphere is mixed. Waitress service is what it is. I don't feel like I get the best service in these clubs. I guess they prefer to serve locals over visitors. You can be in the club for hours without getting any service. I really find them to be in the way if I'm not getting service. Bar service is pretty good actually as they have a healthy mixture of male and female bartenders, and although I prefer male bartenders, the female ones were very friendly and gave good service the days I was there. But the male bartenders just tend to really be more friendly and their first order of business is to ask the customer what he needs, while some of the females like to mingle a bit much for my taste. Now, to the DANCERS. Looks? Great...Attitude? Not so much. I've seen inactive, immobile dancers in my day, but good lord, the dancers in this club were very disinterested! I rarely ever saw a dancer actually go talk to ANY customer. You literally have to pull them out of their chair or or from the bar or away from their conversation they tend to be having with other dancers. I think the girls in this club like to be asked for dances, not the other way around. So I obliged and found a couple of girls I liked and asked them for dances. One was a very appealing Hispanic girl, a solid 8, with semi-long dark hair and somewhat thickish, short black dress. She was nice once we started mingling and she was dancing, but her attitude was otherwise indifferent. There was a stunning tall Cuban girl, easily a 9, I got a dance from. Both dances were a bit tame, though, which is surprising because my Miami experience is usually the dancers go all out. I've had a lot worse, but also a lot better! However, I will say that a majority of the dancers were very attractive, I'd rate them in the range of 7s to 9s. I'm not sure if there is a such thing as a 10. At least not in this club. But I don't just go for looks, I like a combination of looks and positive attitude, so I'm picky that way.
My re-collection of this club was that it was never the greatest club, but I never remember the dancers being THIS stiff and indifferent. But, hey, they look great! LOL
