Memorial Day at Wet

I came here to watch the Western Conference Finals game on Memorial Day, after discovering that my intended destinations, Desire and VIPs in Orange, were both closed. There was no cover when I entered, and about a half dozen girls of all sizes and ethnicities dancing.

It is a typical New Jersey setup, with a stage in the middle of the bar area, and semi-private lap dance areas around the back. There were also four bouncers/security inside, one for each side of the bar/stage - so I quickly got the sense that this was a look-but-don't-touch kind of place. It seemed like overkill though, since there were only five patrons inside. The place is also very bright inside - reminded me more of an upscale Manhattan club in ambience.

Several of the dancers (two african-american and one latina) were particularly hot - but though i was hoping to spend a little time with them, and maybe even sample a lap dance, there was an old white guy at the bar who bought a bottle of champagne and hoarded all of them (and two white girls) for the entire hour and a half I was there. The tip parade for stage dancers was OK, though some of the dancers kept holding open their tip belts even after I had tipped them, and wouldn't leave until I gave them more $. Which brings me to the most frustrating part: when I ran out of cash, I went to the ATM - only to discover that the house charges a $20 ATM fee. (Hence, my low monetary value rating for the place.) I will go back another night though (with more cash) in order to sample some of the lap dances. The dancers did seem very nice, and attractive - but I didn't get the sense there is much value here.
