My fifth in a series of...

My fifth in a series of investigations of Providence clubs on a first-time visit to the city was Foxy Lady. I arrived on Sunday night about 10:30; parking was free, the cover was $10, and I had to walk through a metal detector before entering. Bottled water was $4.00 at the bar.

Very unlike Club Fantasies, where I had just been, this place is pretty glitzy. The seats were deep plush rolly chairs, with high arms which I hate, but at least if girls approach you, they're more apt to sit in your lap. Adding to the glitz were a whole bunch of those swirling colored strobe lights, which, annoyingly, flashed more in patrons eyes than on the stage itself. There were quite a few customers there, including some couples. I'm guessing there were maybe 20 girls working, all attractive, a mix of black and white, most spinners but some curvy.

The stage dances I saw were all topless. Laps are done in a separate room, where the sign clearly says they are $25 a song. I asked some of the girls if the lap dances were full nude, and the answer I got was "They can be." VIPs are expensive – $60 for the room and $200 to the girl for 15 minutes.
