night before the apocalypse
Those of you who didn't know, EI is on the list of strip clubs to be closed down by the Prince George's County government on Friday April 8th. (Read the whole story here: https://www.washingtonpost.com/local/public-safety/prince-georges-county-orders-12-strip-clubs-to-shut-their-doors-by-friday/2016/04/06/e8a4c0e4-fc07-11e5-80e4-c381214de1a3_story.html).
This news, to me at least, came completely out of nowhere and I only found out less than 24 hours before the supposed closure. So I decided to make a trip the after work to say my farewell, and collect phone numbers for possible future hookups so I can continue to support local single moms.
Lo and behold, I have never seen so many cars in the parking lot across the street! I guess everybody had the same idea.
As soon as I was getting pat down by the bouncer, I asked him "is the county really shutting you guys down tomorrow??" He laughingly dismissed the notion: "not us. We're well established." He seemed to suggest they have some kind of special exemption or special connection.
Then after I barely sat down, Margaret the manager got on the mic and defiantly declared "We are not closing. Nobody can shut us down!!" The whole place erupted in cheers. (ok I'm exaggerating a little.) She went to make her long soliloquy, which included her usual "stick and move!!" And somehow ended the speech about how "there're no boyfriends and girlfriends here! We are HOOKERS!! Whatcha doin' falling in love with hookers?!?!" On cue, DJ Batman put on the Baltimore classic "there's some whores in this house" and the chicks went crazy (ok more exaggeration. Just a little.)
