dancers few and far between

I can't be certain how I ended up in this town or this club, but there I was on a Friday night. No cover charge and beer was cheap. I waited a long, long time for the first dancer to appear, a generously endowed (bolt ons) brunette who had some nice moves on stage. I would have gladly paid for a lapper or two, but she never came out to the floor. The DJ played another song with no dancers, then another with still no dancers, and then the brunette made another appearance. Then another disappearance. Maybe I don't understand the business model, but I sort of expected something different. I guess I just chose an off night, Good Friday and all. Weirton, West Virginia, may simply observe the Easter weekend with more piety than other places.
