Mardi Gras

I checked out the Mardi Gras on a Wednesday afternoon for the first time in about two years. Pretty much the same, but a couple things stood out.

1. I really got the impression that the girls really don't want to dance on stage. There were about 8 to 10 girls on shift and about 15-20 men around the stage. Most girls either spent time talking to men sitting at the bar (regulars, perhaps?) and sitting at/on the stage texting on their cell phones. One girl spent almost 10 minutes on stage standing in front of a mirror pretending to put on lipstick (I'm not exaggerating). In 45 minutes sitting at the stage, only one dancer made her way over to me. It also seemed like that when it was about five minutes before a girl was scheduled to be on stage, she would make the rounds asking men if they wanted a lap dance.

2. Could be a coincidence, but it seems like a lot of the dancers are working in pairs; trying to get guys to pay for both of them at the same time in the lap dance area. Perhaps a way to do half as much work for the same amount of money? From what I saw in the lap dance area, when a guy went with two girls, they took turns...one gave a lap dance while the other watched and after a bit they would trade off. I was approached by three different "couples" but not one single girl.
