Superbowl stripper sh*t
Superbowl Sunday I arrived in Daytona Beach after 4pm with no specific plans. A quick check of my options left me with: beer and snacks in the Hotel bar and the game on a TV mounted on a side wall; drive for miles to a sports bar, or strip clubs. Not a difficult decision. Based on prior visits to Daytona, I figured Diamond Dolls (with big TVs behind the bar) would be the place most likely to offer the game, drinks, a party atmosphere and strippers.
The club is on the west side of US 1 a few blocks north of International Speedway and is easy to find. Parking is on the south and west side of the building, with the entrance on the northwest - not the street side. The club's interior is a bit run down and dated but large and roomy. Elevated (three steps up) lap dance booths, with sheer white curtains line most of the north and west walls. A bar runs the entire length of the east wall. The DJ booth, restrooms, storeroom, and entrance to the VIP rooms are on the south wall. The stage is large enough for the club, elevated about 30 inches and does have a good stripper pole.
NOTE: This is a "bikini" bar. Dancers do not take anything off on stage. Most of the dancers DID flash customers at stage side, but Daytona Beach laws prohibit topless or nude dancing. In most cases, the dancers are quite willing to show you everything they have, onstage, at your seat or in private.
