I think the inmates have taken over the asylum.

I went into Tommy's around 8:45 on a Friday evening to meet a friend. The friend hadn't arrived yet so I went inside and was greeted by a door guy who checked (and maybe scanned) my ID. He might have wanded me too (don't remember), which is not a bad idea in that neighborhood. He also informed me that they require a minimum purchase of one drink per hour at the cash only bar. No one was on stage when I walked in, but I went over to the bartender and asked if there were any dancers there that night. She said there were four, so I ordered a drink and sat down.

A half hour went by while the single stage sat empty. At one point I saw a girl in civvies take a guy back to one of the private rooms. Half an hour after I arrived a short, fat, dyke-looking chick (no disrespect intended toward our lesbian members) and a blond, black, tranny looking chick went to the jukebox (there's no DJ here), picked a couple of songs and got on stage. They were immediately surrounded by half a dozen female patrons whooping and hollering and not (as far as I could tell) tipping a dime at the rack.
