Weird

I stopped in to Silk on a Friday night thinking I might find a good time on a busier night. Walked in and found out it was local band night or something. That made for a weird experience. There was a decent crowd for this place but the band took over the regular downstairs stage, but there were no dancers. Apparently, when I found the dancers upstairs, after having to pay a VIP fee, I found out that the band's don't want to play with a strippers, so they make the girls dance in the separate upstairs area where they can't be seen from the bar. I left with a bad taste in my mouth, because while the place had a bigger mixed crowd than I'm used to seeing, none of them were there to see girls dance and the women there to see the bands all gave me weird looks for going upstairs to see strippers at a strip club. Really not the experience you want to have when you visit a place like this and not what I expected when I showed up. I left after a half hour or so as I just felt awkward being there with a non strip club crowd.
