No Changes for the Better
I had a free admission coupon so I thought I would check out any changes since the prior management had been let go. Well, from a customer standpoint, at least on this night, the most obvious change is that the club appears to be in transition to a more "urban" club. Customer wise, music wise, dancer wise and even environment wise it appeared to slightly feel more like a club on Brooks Rd. Not that is a bad thing based on the demographics of Memphis, but if they don't take action on dancers openly partaking in an herbal supplement I think their days may be numbered.
Of the approximately 10 dancers that were present, there was a slight majority of AA's. The good thing was they were the hottest dancers there. It also appeared that the dancers on Sunday are a late arriving group. I noticed 3 of the approximately 10 didn't arrive until after 11:30 pm and I saw a couple more arrive when I was leaving at about 1 am. I did get a couple of dances from who I thought was the best of the bunch and although she allowed touching everywhere, a bikni dance just doesn't make me anywhere near happy. She did offer to discretely remove some clothing for an additional fee, but I wasn't going to spend more than the posted $25 per dance since there were only a total of about 10 customers making it a "buyers market". She also asked for an additional $5 per dance to give the attendant at the entrance. During my visit I was also asked by some dancers straight out to buy them drinks, cigarettes, and of course dances without so much as a greeting. Sorry, I don't remember any dancers names, but there was nothing memorable about this visit. As always, YMMV.
