I visited DV Lakewood on a Friday evening between 5:45 and 7:00. If you're coming from the south at this time of the day, you might have to wait a while to turn into the parking lot if you're making a left into the lot off of S. Tacoma Way. But the good thing is that, even though the lot is in full view of the street and the thousands of people passing by, it is clean, spacious, and feels safe. I had to pay $20 at the door, and even though I haven't been to one of the Washington state Deja Vu clubs in a while, this was the first time I had to pay a $20 cover before 7:00. Not sure what's up with that - it used to be $15 before 7:00, but it looks like I was there at almost the same time as the reviewer right before me, Skeets35!

Don't waste your time if you're planning to get to the club before 6:15 or so -- a bunch of new girls came in around 6:00, but before that it was terrible (on the floor at least -- a few girls were in the back, apparently)! There were probably two or three *really* thick late 20's or early 30's white chicks who, let's be honest, probably buy their own drinks when they go out with their friends. I wouldn't have given them a second look for free out in the real world, and there was no way I was paying to see them. There was also a fairly athletic mixed-looking chick with absolute massive natural hangers. She was at least an F cup, and had her nipples pierced, but she didn't really do it for me. No worries though, because when she wasn't on stage, she was playing on her phone in the dark and clearly didn't want to be bothered. There were only 4 guys there, including me, when I arrived, and the atmosphere was about as dead as you'd expect.

Apparently the human DJ doesn't come in until around 7:00, but before then the music gets played by an automatic computer program. The fake DJ program and the lack of girls on the floor made for some pretty weird moments early on when the girl on stage would wrap up her set. The fake DJ of course doesn't know that the next girl hasn't yet arrived, and goes on as if she had. There were a handful of times were a fully clothed (relatively, speaking) stripper was just standing on stage looking out at the 4 of us, waiting for another girl to come and relieve her, with the music blaring as if something was actually happening. I also noticed that the fake DJ program cuts songs way short, so keep that in mind if you get there early when there isn't an actual DJ on duty and you're negotiating dance prices.
