First impression on arriving: Not so...
First impression on arriving: Not so hot -- the club is "out there" in northeast Philly, and it's more of a warehouse compound than a traditional club. At least the parking seems reasonably secure, though. Anyway, you find yourself climbing up what was probably a loading dock, and getting in a bit of a line (depending on the queue) where the bouncers will yell at everyone to have their $25 cover ready. There will be some frisking. Clientele was mostly bachelor parties.
So, once you're inside, you surrender any glass containers to the bar (so nobody gets cut), but you can hang onto your plastic coolers, giant sippy cups filled with whatever, etc. The bartender was friendly and quick--no harm in tipping $1 here and there to get your beer redispensed in a plastic cup--good job. The main area is a big (very big) open space, dark, with one long main stage which is surrounded by folding chairs or the like, and three or four raised side-stages. Lots of blowing air to dissipate the smoke. There were a few pool tables, but these were taped off. There is a vending machine dispensing chips and candy. Get used to standing--there is much more milling about than sitting. Dancers start in costume and most remove it all, and the side-stage spectating is hassle-free and enjoyable, with some of the girls really going all-out. Dancer quality was actually very good, definitely better than most; almost all caucasian or asian. When not on stage, dancers circulate in the crowd, asking for dances or $1/2 tips, but you should not expect you'll have to spend a lot on tips; there's little obligation and low frequency.
The dance room is another moderately large single room behind a solid door, and is more well-lit than most. There are chairs and small couches, and it was sparsely populated despite the large crowd in the main area. Regular dances @ $20, but the dancers can make up their own rates depending on the situation (inquire first if you're not told). This would not be a very private area if full, but maybe it just doesn't fill up. Dances were quite- to very-liberal and made enduring the location, atmosphere, lack of seating, and steep cover worthwhile. (Is that too subtle? The dances were good, esp. for Philly.) I'm not a fan of idle chit-chat with the dancers and this is certainly not the place for it.
