Expected more to be happening on a Saturday night
These details are from a trip down to Toledo, Ohio near the start of June 2025.
Point of information to start: The name of club is Buck's Platinum. As per one of the bouncer types, the original Platinum club at the location closed during the pandemic, coming back as Buck's Platinum thereafter.
Arrived between 1015-1030 pm and almost walked out at hearing the $20 cover. But I was already there, so...I paid it and walked in...to find a mostly empty club. There were more dancers there than customers, and that remained the case for the 90 or so minutes I stayed. The club is open until (I think I was told) 4 AM on the weekends, and so there was an expectation that folks wander in for a late -night club stop. It just didn't materialize prior to midnight.
Drink prices are a little cheaper than what I'm used to in the Detroit area. A Miller Lite was $5.25. At some point of the evening, I bought a dancer a drink, and she opted for Grey Goose, at $11.25.
The club layout was generally what I recalled from previous visits, although I don't think I have been there since prior to Covid. Small hallway with a booth where the cover is collected, from which you can't see into the club. As you turn the corner into the club, the bar is to your left, along two walls.
There is a barbell shaped stage dominating the middle of the space, with a long thin walkway connecting the two mid sized dance areas. There is another postage stamp stage towards the back of the main space, with a pole that was oddly leaning at an angle, and didn't connect to the ceiling.
Seating is a bunch of small tables surrounding the stage, as well as booths along the right side of the club, on a step up level.
The private dance area was through a hall at the back left of the club, which led also to the bathrooms (no troll!), and the VIP area. There's a employee sitting in a cashier's booth collecting the toll for the dances, basically $25 per song, pre-paid. If you wanted to continue after however many you pre-pay for, pay the dancer at the end. There was also talk of VIP for $150/15 minutes and $300/30 minutes. The basic dances are conducted in a 3-wall booth, which is open to the central walkway in the dance area. Doesn't seem set up for extras, although
I didn't ask if the VIP dances are conducted anywhere more private.
A few of the dancers I recall are below. They all have to wear nipple tape in Toledo, so that takes away some of the allure for me. Some of the dancers were super obvious about it, with a couple opting for two pieces of black tape in the shape of an X over each nipple. Others chose a more subtle approach, with flesh colored tape covering up the bits, so you weren't sure until you got a closer look.
Total of 10-12 girls, 3 or 4 AA, most of the rest white, 2 might have been Latina. There seemed to be a couple new faces drifting in after 11 PM, so maybe there was a third shift to cater to that supposed late night crowd.
Skittles – Flighty blond, naturally a redhead, letting that come through. Her approach was to basically drape herself over me at the table I was sitting at. Pretty effective trick, so I let her hang out, and eventually took her back for a couple of dances. She has a bad habit of grabbing cash out of your hand, to give as a tip to a waitress first, and later, grabbing a 20 out of my wallet as I went to give her a far more modest tip. She pouted about giving it back but finally relented, which honestly I wasn't expecting.
Chloe
River – Puerto rican, wearing a bodysuit that had one shoulder bare as well as one bare leg. Asked her for a couple dances just before I left the place, and enjoyed a nice sensuous few minutes with moderate two way roaming hands. Asked her rules before we began, and she just said don't be stupid about it, which I was fine with.
Amber – bright red hair from a bottle, slim white girl.
Aqua
Lila – tall, white, slim with multiple face piercings. Interesting look. Chatted briefly at the bar when I arrived, but I wasn't looking for a dance then. She never wandered back to say hello, even despite the paucity of customers.
Lele – thick brunette w/fishnet body suit. Got off stage, and then went over to a side mirror, and kept dancing in front of it. If she'd come my way, I might have taken her for a dance. Seemed like someone who enjoyed what she did.
Ezra light skinned aa, nerdy look, with glasses and hair up in a bun. Seemed like one of those movie cliches who might be gorgeous if she would only take off the glasses and let her hair down. As I left the club she was on stage, without her glasses, and it was kind of true.
