New digs for Mickey's
I ventured back to Fayetteville to check things out now that Mickey's is inhabiting Sharkey's during the daytime. It was almost surreal, seeing most of the usual "Mickettes" at Sharkey's, even Misty behind the bar. Of course there are good and bad aspects to every change...The good things are a better stage(more interaction since it's at a much lower level, and the seating in the the Shark Pit is a little more comfortable than the hard chairs that was at Mickey's, but there's not as much privacy(no fake trees-lol), it's bit darker there which can be a good or bad thing. I think there is more potential if the number of customers pick way up--maybe like opening up the Tiger Shark stage in the other room if business warrants, and maybe even expanding the menu a bit now that they have a bigger kitchen. The bathroom was a bit better than I remembered it being the last time I was at Sharkey's, even though that was a few years ago(cleaner and no mops or buckets in the way). I got some dances from Raquel and a newer dancer Cherie(sp?) and both were very enjoyable and I look forward to seeing them again. As I was leaving I saw Mickey out in the parking lot bringing in some supplies and he thanked me for my continued patronage and I wished him luck with the new set-up.
