I had heard a rumor

I had heard a rumor, but more on that later.

I stopped by Sparky's on a weekday afternoon. I walked in past the metal detector. It didn't make a sound. The cover was $4, no ID scan. It was pretty dead inside. Dead enough to hear the TV in the corner. There were a couple dancers who would take some practice runs on the stages, but there weren't any patrons there to interact with or to tip.

When I arrived there were three dancers, the bartender who was only part time at the bar because there may be only four patrons, and the guy at the door.
