Hotel... Motel ... Holiday Inn
Located in the Hotel/Motel complex right off the tollway on East State Street, one would assume that there would be ample opportunity for OTC action/activities. You have merely a few minutes away, a Tilted Kilt restaurant with sports on TV, food and appetizers and little cute server girls wearing Push-up Bras and kilts. What could possibly be the draw to the TIGER TAIL, when cute girls are merely doing acrobatic routines and doing the mandatory tip walk in high heels and bikinis? I paid a $3 or $5 cover charge, after walking through a gauntlet of cigarette smokers standing just outside the entrance, I took a seat at the bar, to see if I could see sports on TV and be positioned for the "Thank You Tip Walk Parade" down the bar. My Jack Daniels mixed drink was served in a tall glass and they charged me $9.00. I'm OK with that. The lure of the club is to attract out-of-town businessmen staying at several extended stay properties within walking distance.
CLUB DECOR
Small and intimate, very well lit and site lines are OK on one side of the club. Bar seats do not lend themselves to see the performers in total. Yet, what's there to see? It's a Bikini Club in Rockford. There is a VIP room with love seats, mini Christmas lights and fake foilage to augment and compliment the fake facade of a strip club. The TVs are at a height to keep you focused on the walking-around talent vs keeping track of a sports event. The bar was comfortable, security was evident and unobtrusive. There were maybe a half dozen Video Games which added to the light and sounds of the club. There is a DJ who played more Rock, less Rap and offered a less urban feel to the club surrounds and its patrons. The clientele was mostly monied mature men who desired the fake intimacy of trained dancers who know how to feign interest and drain wallets.
