Not much changed

Well, after 3 and a half years I'm back at NOLA and the Quarter and I figure hey, let's check out the state of the tourist trap industry...

Temptations is part of a locally-owned chain that includes a whole bunch of mid-market to down-market to down-and-out market joints on Bourbon St. - Scores, Temptations, Stilettos, Lipstixx and the "newer" Centerfolds. These places run the gamut from decent to scary and have a reputation for allowing activity that the national-brand clubs officially frown upon.

The club is located across from the Royal Sonesta in a string of three consecutive strip clubs: Posh Rick's, downmarket Stilettos, and midmarket Temptations one right after the other. On this particular Saturday night some unpleasantness apparently happened in front of Stiletto's earlier, that ended up with half of the Bourbon st. crowd with their cellphones up high recording the professionalism of the LEOs and the horizontalization of at least one gent on the sidewalk, so the doormen were out in force seeking to get people re-motivated to go in and waving away the usual Saturday cover. So hey what the heck...
