Since the stupid ordinance was passed in Memphis all clubs have gone downhill. However, Gold (and the Pony) remain the best within the limitations. This is a good sized club with a large central stage and a large and very public lap dance area (a bunch of couches in an open hall). There are also "private" lap dance booths, but they are also within plain view. Nowadays in Memphis dancers have to keep their bikinis on. However, for me the lap dance is a requirement of a good club experience and if you are lucky and find a good dancer a great time can be had. I happened too get a dance from a girl that used to work at the now closed Christies several yeas ago. This blonde spinner (Lala) gives an awesome lap dance and permits some roaming hands (another plus). She is also great to talk with. Cost varies by dancer but is around 20.00 per song. Again this can be negotiated and can vary. All in all given the current depressing club situation in Memphis after the ordinance this is one of the two best clubs. On a separate note - since the club ordinance passed in Memphis crime has actually gone up, and the places where past clubs stood are now derelict abandoned buildings that only contribute to blight and making the city even worse...go figure.
