Since my go-to club is no longer an option (Platinum Plus) I decided to look for the next best thing and chose Trophy Club. The physical lay out has been described previously, but I will say it is much smaller than PP with a big stage. I just missed happy hour and also learned that there is no cover until 10 PM Monday - Thursday, but Friday and Saturday it is 6 bucks. The waitress did tell me they were running specials on bottled beer so I got a Stella for 3 dollars and settled in at a table near the stage. One good thing is that the music is not ear-splitting like PP and soon I was approached by a dancer, who told me she worked at PP. She said that PP would reopen on the 8th of July but that they had to agree to put cameras in the couch room. It will be interesting to see if this affects dance quality.
The girls at trophy club were not as attractive as PP, at least when I was there. They did a "parade" of dancers and I didn't see any that would be worth the 25 dollar couch room fee that appears to be non-negotiable. I was also told that for $150 you could do a 30 minute deal in a more private setting, but as I said I didn't see anyone worth doing that. Just as I was about to leave with my wallet intact I discovered that one of my PP favs was in the house. I was pressed for time but connected with her and she and I went back for some 25 dollar dances. She did not disappoint and it was like old times except that the couch room here is wide open with no partitions like in PP. They were running a 2-4-1 so the place was a bit crowded. I guess that this place will have to do until PP re-opens.
