If anyone tells you that the only club in South Bend to go to is the Torch, that used to be partially true, now its completely true. It started with the closing of the Kitty Kat Lounge, and now they've also closed Teasers and Glo-Worm. That leaves the Torch as the only consistantly open club in South Bend. Peaches (which is next door and owned by the same person) is only open Thurs-Sat and that depends on whether they can get enough girls. For instanance, this week it was only open Friday for awhile and had 2 girls. Thurs/Sat they kept the girls at the Torch. The funny thing is, you would expect with it being the only club in town that it would have more girls and be more crowded, but it isn't. I've only seen one girl from the other bars here and it has about the same level of customers. Most of the girls from other bars have either retired or gone to Pleasant Lake/Stimmelators or maybe Industrial Strip or other clubs. Why? Well, the torch is a bit expensive ($4.25 for a can of beer, $5 entry). While the girls are usually decent looking, some aren't. The stage where they dance is behind the bar and the drinks/lapdances aren't that much fun... Overall this bar has gone downhill over the years and has no sign of improvement. If you meet the right girls there though (who usually get fired), you can have a good time, and they usually have at least one or two stunners on the weekends...
