Fun visit with a slow start

Harley's is about the only "local" club for me, unless I want to drive 45 minutes or more. I've been going there off and on for close to 20 years, starting back when it was called Scooters, and to be honest, not much has changed. As Scooters, it was getting pretty run down, and when they shut down then reopened as Harley's, they did a pretty major refresh of the interior, but not much changed as far as layout goes.

The club is small - one main room with T-shaped stage down the middle and a single pole. If you want to watch a girl do some serious acrobatics, this isn't the place - the ceiling can't be over 10 feet. There is a separate room with a decent sized bar, a pool table, and a hallway down one side for private dance. They also have a couple "VIP" booths in the main room that don't really give any privacy - just bragging rights that you spent extra money.

Most evenings are pretty much dead until at least 10 or so. My last visit on a recent Saturday, there wasn't anyone on stage until around 9 - just a couple girls hanging out at the bar. But then again, there wasn't really anyone to dance for, either. Things picked up pretty quick between 10 and 11, and at the peak, there were maybe 5-6 girls cycling through, although it seemmed like half of them weren't part of the stage rotation. It made a challenge getting private dances because about the time you talked to a girl and were ready to go back to the private dance area, she had to be back up on stage, or you get maybe 2-3 songs at most, so by the time you're having some real fun, you have to cut it short.

The mix of dancers is pretty diverse - most come from out of town, which is probably a good thing. Most were pretty decent looking - no supermodels, but not terrible, and definitely better than the Scooters days. Plus there are a few that are there pretty consistently that are a lot of fun. Fun for dances, and fun to BS with. Private dances are $20/song.

Drink prices aren't bad - I like my import bottled beer and a Heineken was $5. I've paid a lot more than that in many clubs. They always have different specials on drafts and well drinks.
