Oh man how the mighty has...

Oh man how the mighty has fallen. This place really is just a shadow of it's previous self. I went after several years. The empty parking lot should have cued me into how it was like inside. The location of this club is prime real estate in Houston, just next to the Galleria - so to see the very large, nearly empty parking spot is disturbing at the least. I walked in and it was a low cover charge because it was before 7 on a Sunday. This is a slow time for all clubs, but I wasn't really prepared for it being this slow. Walking in, there was a man who wanted to see the manager. When the manager showed up, the man told him he'd gotten a phone call from a restaurant owner nearby who told him his briefcase was broken open in the restaurants parking lot. The man had then gone out to his truck and seen that the rear window was broken and his briefcase was missing. He was of course upset and said he had client portfolios with personal information in the case. Another very bad sign. The bar next to the entry was closed. The bar in the back had a few people hanging around. There was just a handful of dancers, looking bored. There wasn't anyone on any of the stages. I ordered a drink and hung around for 15 to 20 minutes, but the scene was depressing so I decided to leave. I won't be going back unless things change considerably.
