The Torch is an average strip...

The Torch is an average strip club if you have low expections. I only come here because I live nearby and I don't visit very often. Better clubs are an hour away if you go west (Hammond) and hour and a half to the south (Kokomo). The only reasons to visit are you stuck in South Bend or you are trying to visit every stripclub or you just need to see some half-naked women. The club is located between the main streets of the city, so if you drive past you gotta go around the block. Average grimey neighborhood, not so bad you feel on guard. Kind of a small club. The doorman wands you, checks ids, and watches you like a sick pervert getting his jollies when your getting a lame lap dance. I nearly had a good lap dance once, but i locked eyes on the doorman and ruined it. If he isn't watching you personally he's watching the action on the monitor. The lap dances are over priced at twenty dollars because they are very tame. The stage dancing is a joke since the stage is behind the bar because of stupid laws, or the church, or both. Remember Notre Dame is right up the road. The only good thing is the dancers are friendly for the most part, they sit and chat without pushing dancer drinks. Don't ask what a dancer drink costs, its way too much. The dancers are average to below average. Some times there might be a real knockout dancer. So to sum it all up; average strip bar, crappy neighborhood but safe enough, average dancers, lame dances, doorman that likes to watch a little too much.
