This review is from CIAA Basketball Tournament Weekend, which normally brings over 100 dancers to Onyx each night from Thursday - Sunday. For those of you who don't know, Onyx is a huge club that can really function as a regular nightclub if need be.

$40 cover charge at 9 PM even being one of the first 30 or so customers in the building. I'm hearing that it went up to over $100 by the time I left. The event that was going on that night was called Pole-A-Thon, which featured some of the best pole dancers from across the country. Out of town dancers who weren't featured in the Pole-A-Thon, had to literally register and give their personal information, in order to dance at the club. Most of the dancers were from the East Coast and the South.

As I walked in, I was immediately approached by a dancer from Columbia, SC that wanted me to buy her a drink. Instant turn off right there. Just ask me for a dance first, then I MIGHT buy you a drink. But don't ask for the drink first. She kind of got offended when I told her I don't buy dancers drinks, and left me alone.
