Around 3 weeks back, or was it 4 weeks, Players Club suddenly got a whole new inside layout. Or, to be accurate, more like 60% of a refit. The old fishpond style dance floor is gone and a new bathtub style has taken its place. There are a handful of black chairs against the walls and the rest is 40% open space. A dancer told me that the name is going to change to Circe, or something like that, and that new furniture is coming in time for their grand re-opening at some, undisclosed, future date. Overall, I was sadly unimpressed and there was worse to come. I got there at 6:30 thinking that I would catch the early shift girls and be able to preview the late shift. No luck, the early shifters were one vintage long timer and maybe two others who were not worth a light. The girl taking the entry charge money was fat and pasty colored. I was looking for a hand job but the vintage long timer was more interested in a scruffy redneck at the bar. Then she left and, by 7:15, no new dancers were anywhere to be seen. I was well PO'd and that's the polite version. The new management (I assume it's new) need to stay paying some hands-on attention to getting some quality girls. Because, right now, the New "Players" is way short on most everything. I rated it a 4 but it really only deserves a 2.
