Kind of a ghost town

Rode over to Emperors to give it another shot. It is in a strip mall near a liquor store and behind a bank. I arrived about 6PM, only a couple vehicles were in the lot, not a good sign. I entered and there was no cover collected, and no one at the desk to collect it. One turns left upon entering to get to the bar and dance area, straight and to the right are some machines and I believe a dining area, they have it covered on ways to take money.

The bartendress was pleasant and reasonably attractive, my domestic beer was $5. Not outlandish but not cheap for the area in my opinion. No one was on the stage, I sat at the bar and sipped my beer. Music was playing, the bartender was talking with an employee at her end of the bar. She was attentive enough, asking if I needed another beer, but not really engaging. After 20 minutes or so I saw a W/F dancer come out, she went to the stage and seemed to practice a couple moves on the pole but only remained a minute or so and sat down at a table. Soon she went back to wherever dancers go when they don't want to chase money. After another few minutes either another dancer very similar - medium height, decent body but not super fit and dark hair - or her in a different outfit again came out and sat at the bar near the bartender and employee's meeting spot. As everyone seemed to be going through the motions I decided to bounce and try a different spot.

The club is nice, the stage is set up well, sound system is good. The concept seems sound, though the food and girls can be a tough sell if it isn't popular for business lunches. Everyone was polite enough and the spot was clean and safe, but there just seemed to be nothing going on. I had stopped last fall and was told they were just re-booting and didn't have enough girls yet. I don't know if it was a timing issue or if it is just not hitting on all cylinders still. My advice, look for some cars in the lot if you plan to go.
