My first visit to Camelot, or...
My first visit to Camelot, or any club in DC for that matter. I write for the travelling mongers, so locals who know the club well can skip all the intro.
Camelot is a very well appointed club. First class. Small place, long and narrow. Think of a 15 x 50' rectangle running east west. A small elevated stage with a pole and chinup bar is located midway on the north wall. Orange is the predominant décor color, with faux stained glass along the north wall. Tall mirrors adorn many of the walls, as well as a full length mirror behind the stage. It gives the feeling of more spaciousness than is really there. I estimate the capacity of the club is about 100 or less. They have a doorman and a seater guiding you to available seating. I got lucky and got right in around 10;15 pm and shown to a small table on the back wall directly in line with the stage.
As reported, no cover charge. Sweet. Beer was $9.90 So the only cost will be what you drink and what you tip. No lap dances, no contact... well unless you are a regular, or great tipper and drink buyer, then a lady may sit with you and you can do a little snuggling, like the gent who was sitting next to me with one of the most popular dancers in the place.
