Visited downtown Philly's Gold Club on...

Visited downtown Philly's Gold Club on a Tuesday about 7:30. Club is near downtown hotels, and is down a dead-end alley. Not the safest side street, but the door was open so I guess the bouncer could have heard any trouble. Paid $5 cover and went in. The club is small, not a lot of room between the seats. Several small round tables, and other seats around the back. Small stage with 2 poles. Club is mostly in pretty good condition, though the private dance rooms are a little beat up. Music was not too loud, you could hear the girl you were talking to. Soft drink was $4, took a while to get served, but the club had more guys than dancers when I walked in, and soon after about a dozen more guys showed up, just before the prime time shift of dancers arrived.

Three or four dancers working before then, two very skinny, I like that, and one curvier but really friendly. Club got crowded really fast, and I was worried I wouldn't be able to get dances, but I got dances ($30 each, timed for 4 min) from two dancers in their early 20's. Both really nice, really enthusiastic, two-way, good mileage. Both were happy to face toward me, not away, which I usually ask for. Dancers were really nice and very skilled. I asked one where I could put my hands, and she said "Wherever you want to'. Would definitely go back, even though no 2-for-1 specials. Want to see what the next shift of dancers would be like. But damn, lots of businessmen crowding in--not a lot of tipping going on so be sure to let the dancer you want know you're interested, or you could miss your shot.
