This actually covers several trips; I had a weekend to myself and spent far too much time in stripclubs. I visited OGD three times over two days, so I have some social scientific observations. As someone who has tended to do my clubbing in the afternoon, I always assumed that the scene would be much livelier at night. The answer is yes and no. It is certainly more crowded at night but, from a patron's perspective, daytime is better. Saturday evening was better than Friday evening, but both evenings at peak times there were way more customers than girls, and half the girls there at any time were not offering dances. They were either 1) staring at their phones, 2) drinking with each other at the bar or 3) on cigarette breaks. At one point on Saturday a large group of patrons left and the place got very quiet. Pretty soon I heard one of the dancers (one who, as far as I could tell, had been smoking or ignoring customers 80% of the time for the previous hour) loudly complain that all the customers had left. Not hard to figure out why. Later on, one dancer tried to quit her shift early and it led to a major scene, with much shouting. Another comparative observation: the nighttime dancers are not any hotter than the day dancers; in fact the overall looks rating at night is, IMHO, lower. I did meet one newer dancer there who was pretty nice, though. In the end, I was happy with my last visit of the weekend, but in the future I'll know that those of us generally restricted to clubbing in the afternoon are not missing much.
