I am a white guy and have been to Club Venus half-a-dozen times, almost always at night, all by myself, and never even any hint of problems. The neighborhood is not great, but it is on the border with Dearborn. Some black guys will make a point to come up and say hello, and shake my hand to let me know I am welcomed. I thought this was a nice gesture on their part. I was introduced to the club by a black dancer I knew pretty well who used to dance there sometime in the past.

The economics are unbeatable for us monger. $20 lap dances with full contact and sexy black gals of all sizes, but, in honesty, not a lot of slim, slender ones. There are a few white and latin girls too, and some of them are decent, even good looking. The back room dances are more personal, and if you can find a quiet corner in the VIP, you are all set. Drinks are equally cheap, sometimes $3 beer, $5 mixed. Sometimes they either charge $2 to park or $5 cover. Often I have gone with no parking fee and no cover, but that was mostly on day shift I think. I haven't been able to figure-out the timing or pattern on that though.

They play the music too loud, my only complaint. And since I am not really familiar with the music, I have a hard time telling when a song starts or ends. So I always tell the girl how many songs I want before she starts, and often the dance seems to go on and on far longer than I remember at most other clubs.
