The former "Godivas" side of this...
The former "Godivas" side of this club (the right side of the building) has finally re-opened as a regular bar. I believe they are calling it "New Era" or something like that (at least that's what it said on the portable sign they have on top of the building). I entered the main front door and was greeted by the guy who you normally would see checking ids on the strip club side. They now have him right at the front door where you cross between the 2 clubs. Entrance appears to be free for the regular bar side---$5 to enter the strip club side. It appears that they spent a good bit of money on the regular bar side...wood paneling, a nicer wider bar area, new tables & seats, mirrors, and several tvs around the room. They also have several pool tables in the back part of the room.
The drink prices seemed to be a little less on the new side...my crown & ginger was $4.50 on this side and $5.00 on the strip club side--YMMV. Oh--you have to consume your drink on whatever side you buy it from--no going back and forth with drinks between the 2 sides.
I do not know how this new drink-only side of the club is going to survive though. Too bad they did not make it a topless bar and the other side fully nude (like the old days-BYOB juice bar). I guess we will see, but it appears the new side is geared more towards the sports crowd rather than being a strip club. Again, time will tell.
