I had never been to...
I had never been to a strip club in Nashville even though I had been there several times. A work conference in Nashville led to me upgrading the hotel that my work had provided, so I could be closer to the downtown scene and experience the downtown nightlife. I opted for the Courtyard at the Marriott and had a window overlooking Printers Alley. After a few days of meetings and conference lectures, I needed to get the hell out and get a few beers sans industry peers, so I avoided the hotel bars and went out in search of a strip club. I chose The Brass Stables since it was in walking distance of my hotel.
The Brass Stables is a Nude Club, that means that they don't serve alcohol. You can BYOB, and they'll put it on ice and serve it to you, so you do get to buy beer at store prices, though they have a fee for this, something like $6 or so, I don't recall the exact price.
When I first got there it was about 8:45pm on a Friday night. The place was dead, maybe 3 patrons inside. The ridiculously heavy rain was obviously keeping people from going out, as most of Printers Alley seemed deserted. I paid the fee and the lady took my Killian's and I sat down with one of them. The place is long and narrow and not very wide. There is a pathetic stage in the middle of the floor, with barriers around it. Apparently there is a 3 foot rule in Nashville if there is any nude dancing. i find it awkward to have to toss money at girls 3 feet away. You sit on some beat up old leather couches that line a wall and watch girls dance fully nude 3 feet away, on what may be a 6 inch high stage. Not off to the best start so far.
