I ended up checking out a couple of clubs my first night in Houston. I went to the Palace after visiting another club, it was probably around 11pm. The club is in a strip mall, which seems to be normal in Houston. I walked in, no cover or ID check, up a couple of steps there is a bat overlooking a big main room that was completely empty. I sat at the ( empty) bar, waited a few minutes and then had to walk over to get the bartenders attention. Had a beer ( $6) and sat at the bar waiting for a dancer to hit the stage, nothing for a good 20 minutes.

Eventually a dancer came over and sat with me, chatted a few minutes and then went for a couple of dances. Dances were pretty open, but since the place was empty it was practically private. Dances were $20/song, and had lots of 2 way contact. Not a place that I would visit again since it was pretty run down and had almost no-one working.
